Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named, Flora. She was the heir to the throne, and she lived a lavished lifestyle! Servants would wait on her all the time, she would go to Galas, attended meetings, and meet potential suitors to take her hand in marriage. Though being a princess was nice, she longed of the outside world. She wanted to go on [[Adventures]] meet new people, and see far off lands! To her, it sounded much more exciting than ruling a kingdom, and being stuck in a palace all day.

Once upon a time, there was a handmaiden named Sonia, who lived in a castle serving a princess named, Flora. Ever since they were little, they have been best friends. Now that she was Flora's handmaiden, she saw her all the time! Though she was happy with a simple life, she wanted it to be more than that. She wanted to be someone for a day. Someone who had everything at their fingertips. While also, getting pampered and waited on for a change. She wanted to live more than just the life of a servant. She wanted to be a princess! [[Adventures]]

A few years pass. Flora was informed that since she is 16 and she has to choose a suitor to marry her. Devastated, she went to her chambers and consulted with her friend, Sonia. She told her friend that she can't marry someone in so little time. All she wanted was freedom from this hectic life, just for one day. Sonia then devised a plan for the princess. She proposed that her and Flora [[switch]] places for the day, just so she could get a taste of the outside world. Sonia in turn, would see what it was like being a princess for a day.

With that, the two friends set their plan into motion. Sonia dressed Flora in a simple servant dress, tied her hair in a bun, and gave her a small woven basket with a list of chores to do. Flora in turn, dressed Sonia in the most elegant [[dress]] she could find. Braided her hair with small flower gems, that made her sparkle in the sunlight, and lastly gave her one of her many crowns and applied make up so that she would give off the impression of being a princess! [[Flora]] [[Sonia]]

The dress made Sonia feel elegant and fancy. It was poofy green and blue dress with, ribbons, bows, and an underskirt of lace and trumpet sleeves. This made her very happy and she loved the outfit that her friend chose for her [[switch]]

Flora, filled with excitement, skipped out of the castle gates, and started on her friend's list. She went into the market and picked out some nice flowers, got some fresh fruit and bread for the castle chefs, and picked up the laundry and cloth for the servants chambers. Once she was done with the chores, she came across something that interested her. She saw a blacksmith and his apprentice, practicing their combat skills. The way the blades clanked against each other, the craftsman ship of the blade intrigued her. She approached them and asked to hold a sword. The blacksmith laughed and said, "No woman may hold a sword." However, his [[apprentice]] let her hold it, when his master left their sight.

Once Flora left for the day, Sonia danced around the room and was so happy to be in Flora's place for a day. Not long after, she was meet by Flora's personal tutor who told her the schedule for today. "Pardon me your highness, but we must get a move on. So for todays activites they are as follows: [[Mannerisms]] [[Diplomatic meetings]] [[Dress fittings]] and lastly most importantly, you must meet a [[suitor]] from one of the neighboring kingdoms." Sonia immediatly felt overwehlmed, but this is what she wanted and she couldn't let Flora down.

Flora soon learned how to wield a weapon, and she loved the feel of it in her hands! The apprentice was teaching her all that he knew about every weapon they had. Her favorite was the [[dagger]], because it was portable. You could hide it anywhere, and it gave you freedom to move around. She bought two daggers, both looked quite ordinary, but they were as light as a feather. She thanked the apprentice for accepting her regardless of her gender and walked away. Time soon passed, and Flora only had half a day left before returning to the castle. She then came across a clothing store, where they sold, accessories, jewels, cloaks, dresses, and tunics. Flora wanted to change how she dressed, to change her [[identity]] so to speak.

The daggers she saw were different styles and sizes. She saw ones with diamonds and other jewels incrusted in them. But, she only wanted one of the ordinary ones. In a way the daggers represented her life as a princess. When you are royalty, everyone wants you to look your best and you get nothing but the best. However, an ordinary dagger, represented how everyone else around her felt. To her, the dagger spoke freedom from the luxery and life of a royal monarch. She wanted to live umong the people, and be one of them, rather than being high and mighty. [[apprentice]]

She saw all these dresses so nicely made and elegant for any woman who wanted to possess them. But another outfit caught her eye. She saw a simple travelers tunic, with a long green cloak that streched to the ground. It also came with boots, a travel bag, and a feathered fedora that seemed so striking to her. She took the clothes to the shopkeeper, who insisted she should by something meant for a fine young lady, such as a elgant lace dress, but Flora insisted on buying her new outfit, becsause she wanted to be a new person, rather than following the status quoe. After she bought her outfit, she went to change in the fitting room, away from [[prying eyes]] Once she was done, she left the shop, swung by the bakery for lunch, and wandered into a near by [[forest]] to seek some alone time.

Little did Flora know, that some enemies from the kingdom were in that shop. They recognized her by the way she spoke and knew that no servant would have hair and skin that fair. They waited for her to leave the store and followed her to the [[forest]] to [[ambush]]

Once she entered the forest, she wandered a bit and found a beautiful waterfall! The water was crystal clear, it shinned in the sun, surrounded by trees, and flowers. She then took off her boots, stuck her feet in the water, and began to eat her lunch. Time passed and soon it became sunset. She became saddened by this, because she would have to return to being cooped up in the palace all day and not being free. She then began to get up when she saw an old begger woman coming towards her. "My child tell me, who are you?" Flora suprised by this question responded, "I am Sonia, handmaiden to her highness Princess Flora." The old woman laughed in responce and pointed towards the pool. "Do not fear child, for I know who you truely are. You are the princess and you wish to be free from your responcibilites as a princess. Look into that pool there and tell me, what do you see?" Flora looked into the pool and saw nothing but her reflection. She sighed and said, "I see nothing but myself..." The old woman smiled and said, "My child, I see something else. You are faced with a choice. You have learned so much about the outside world than the one you have come to know. Why not use that knowledge and use it to make yourself a just and fair queen? You may not know it, but you can be a great ruler and do things as you see fit. However, if being free is what you desire, there is nothing stopping you. There is a vast world out there just waiting to be explored. Weither you decide to leave or to rule is in your hands. So what is it going to be my child?" [[leave]] [[stay]]

Flora reached a nice small clearing in the forest near a patch of flowers. She sat down, near a tree and began to eat her lunch. Everything was so calm and peacefull that she started to drift to sleep. All the sudden, when she open her eyes, she was surrounded by three men all smiling sinsterly at her. Instictivly she reached for her weapon to fend them off, but did she have the strength to [[defend]] herself, or would she [[give up?]]

Flora quickly reached for her daggers under her tunic and told herself that she wasn't going to go down without a fight. She managed to cut one of the men on his arm and quickly dogged the others and ran as fast as a cheetah running in the savanna. She eventually lost them and came across a beauitful sight in the [[forest]]

Flora tried to reach for her daggers, but one of the men stepped on her arm, pinning her against the tree. She squirmed and kicked trying to escape, but to no avail. The men scopped her up and they rode off deeper and deeper into the forest. Flora was so scared and worried about what was going to happen to her. They finally stopped by the edge of a cliff. Flora looked down and saw nothing but jagged rocks and currents hitting the shore below. The men then explained to Flora that they wanted to start a war with her kingom so in order to do that, they had to kill her and provide evidence. Flora tried to persuade the evil bandits that there should be no need for violence, but they refused to listen. They pushed her down to a tree stump and sharpened a sword. [[Bad end 1]]

As the blade rose above Flora's head, she looked up into the beautiful sunset sky and saw a sparrow fling higher and higher into the clouds. Even though she was about to die, she would be free. Just like the sparrow flying overhead. Just then, the blade lowered into her neck and there was nothing but darkness. Once she was beheaded, the evil bandits took her head, put it into a sack, pushed Flora's body off the cliff, and rode back to their kingdom. Bad end 1: Deadly Sunset Try again? [[Start]]

Flora knew that in her heart that being a princess was not right for her. She wanted to get out and explore all the different realms that the wolrd had to offer. With this in mind, she rode back to the castle and to her bedroom to await the arrival of her friend Sonia to tell her the news. Shortly after arriving Sonia appeared, hugging her friend and telling her about her experiences as a princess. Flora was happy for her and then told her what she planned to do for the future. "Sonia, I've been doing a lot of thinking today. I know being a princess is great and everything, but it's just not in the cards for me. I need a new life, full of excitment, adventure, exploring new realms, and meeting new people. I have decided to leave this kingdom and to be free among the people. I don't know if I will ever return, but I leave it to you if you want to rule in my place or not. I will miss you my friend, I hope you understand where I'm coming from. [[Good End 1]]

Thinking about what the old woman said, she was right. With all the knowledge about what she experience in the village and being among her people, she now had a better outlook on the world around her, and she could use that when she became queen. She then rode back to the castle to meet up with Sonia to explain to her what revolation she had. Sonia returned and they talked about their experiences. When it was Flora's turn, she told Sonia her decision about choosing to stay. "Today has been quite the learning experience let me tell you. I have really enjoyed being in [[your shoes for a day]] Sonia. It gave me the chance to see how my people act and with that knowledge, I know that when I become [[queen]] one day, I will be able to treat everyone with the respect they deserve."

Sonia understood where Flora was coming from, and decided to become princess in her place. Once they said their goodbyes, Flora left the palace and rode off into the night, with a horse, some supplies, and a will of freedom in her heart. Never again would she feel caged, she was finally free to explore the world to her hearts content. Good end 1: Free as a bird [[Start]]

After Flora explained everything to Sonia, she saw her friends face drop from a smile to a frown. She asked her friend what was wrong, and Sonia explained that she didn't want to go back to being a nobody. She wanted to stay as a princess and take her place. Flora then tried to explain to her friend that she would be an advisor to her if she let her be princess again, but all the sudden Sonia shouted, "Gaurds! Come take this imposter out of my sight! Throw her in the dungeons and let her rot!" Gaurds surronded Flora and grabbed her by her arms, dragging her out of Sonia's presence. [[Bad end 2]]

A few years passed and Flora became queen and she became one of the kingdom's fairest and just rulers it had ever seen. She always would listen and be among her people, she married for love instead of arrangement, and her friend, Sonia became her advisor and the two of them ruled the kingdom in harmony. Good end 2: A fine Ruler [[Start]]

Flora then tried to get the gaurds to see that she was the real princess, but they would not listen. They threw her into the dungeons and the last thing she saw was Sonia's face smiling at her and waving goodbye as her cell door closed. Bad end 2: Trust no one try again? [[Start]]

Mannerism class was how a princess was suppose to behave around guests at parties, dinner, and overall how she must appear before anoyone. Sonia went to the class and there was so much more to a dinner, then there was to just eating. There were multiple things for eating a dish, many spoons, forks, knives, and you even had to sit up right. She was just use to cooking a small meal for herself and thats all. She had no idea what princesses went through to be proper. [[Sonia]]

The next item on the agenda was diplomatic meetings, that she attended with Flora's Parents, the king and queen. Through-out the meeting, they talked about war strategies, upcoming events, and issues in the small [[village]] It was quite boring to listen to but she soon leaned to cope with it. [[Sonia]]

One of the events that Sonia loved, was the dress fittings. She tried on so may silks, fabrics, and dresses that hugged her so tightly, she couldn't help but be happy! She also recived massages, pampering, and was fed fruit while a portrait was being painted for her. If she was going to miss anything from this day, it would be this! [[Sonia]]

Sonia was nervous about meeting a suitor from another kingdom. She also had to keep in mind that this prince would be for Flora, not for her. So she took a deep breath, and went into the throne room, to pick from a line of young princes and lords who would be worthy of Flora and herself. She went down the line and none of them struck her as husband material. They were either too in love with themselves, liked the idea of being rich, or they were just plain jerks. However, when she was just about to give up, she saw one prince sitting near the window, reading a poetry book. This struck her interest, so she walked over to him. "You like poetry?" She asked with a smile. The prince startled at first explained, "Yes... I do your highness. My name is Matias. It's a pleasure to meet you." He said bowing to her. Flattered Sonia then wanted to know more about him. "So why wern't you in line with the other princes?" Matias smiled and said, "I really don't like the idea of being choosen out of a line of people who only love themselves. Also it just feels like we are being auctioned off, rather than getting to know a person." Sonia laughed and asked if they could go [[somewhere]] to talk. Matias agreed and they strolled around the palace getting to know one another bit by bit.

While the King and others were talking about the village, they were talking about issues that made Sonia rather upset. Such as raising taxes, making farmers work later than normal, and overall letting famiolies go hungery. She had enough and stated her case. "You should lsiten to the people and not treat them like dogs! They help make this kingdom go round, all you do is sit on a thone all day, if you actually go outside you might learn something new!" Sonia then realizing what she said, covered her mouth in shock and the whole court gasped. The king in raged, walked up to Sonia and looked deep into her eyes, grabbed her hands and said, "It is my kingdom, and once you are queen and married to a king, you will learn to see things his way!" But Sonia then said something that spilled the beans. "Yes, your highness." The king then realized that this was not his daughter. If she would have said, "Yes, father I am sorry." Then she would have been safe, but the king figured out Sonia and Flora's arragment and sent search parties to find his real daughter. [[Bad end 3]]

Sonia was then sentenced to imprisonment and soon death for impersonating Flora. When Flora was found, she tried to save her friend, but to no avail. She was not allowed to see her and she was locked in her room during Sonia's excecution. The moral from this, sometimes it's best to keep your thoughts to yourself. Bad end 3: Think before you speak [[Start]]

Hours went by as the two talked about their interests and got to know one another and soon it became sunset. Sonia then knew it was almost time to go back to her normal servant life, than staying as a princess. Not only that, but she began falling for the prince she had been talking to. She knew that she had a decision to make. Should she [[lie]] and tell him that, she is a princess, or tell him the [[truth]] and admit that she is not who she appears to be?

Though it wasn't right for her to do this, she desperatly wanted to be with Matias even though she knew she would be living a lie and betraying her best friend. But that didn't matter, she loved being a princess and she wanted it to stay that way, no matter the cost. She then excused herself from her prince and told him to meet her in the castle gardens at nighttime. He agreed and she went off to meet Flora in her chambers. Once Flora arrived, the talked about their day and how great it was to be in each others situation. Sonia then had to tell her friend that she wanted to be a princess more than anything so she said, "I am so glad to hear that you liked taking my place for the day Flora. I must confess when I took on your role as princess, I was nervous at first, but then it became easy doing all your jobs and I even met someone nice. I know it maybe selfish of me, but if you could find it in your heart to let me stay a princess and you a servant, I would cherish that and be very grateful to you and maybe you could be an advisor to me." She then saw her friends face drop and Flora explained that even though she liked seeing the outside, she wanted to become queen one day and they could rule togther. This enraged Sonia and she called for the gaurds to arrest Flora. They grabbed Flora and she followed them to the dungeons. Once her friend was in the dungeons she told Flora, "I'm sorry my friend, but I cannot allow you to return. I love this life far too much to give it up. All you had to do was run away, but no you wanted to take this from me. Well I hope you rot down here! This is the last time you will ever see me so take a good look Flora and thank you for giving me this power." With that Sonia walked away with an evil smirk on her face, leaving her friend to shout for help and to wollow in a pool of sadness. [[Bad end 4]]

As hard as it sounded, Sonia couldn't bear to live a lie which could cause her friend and Matias heartbreak. So with a sigh and a heavy heart she poured out her emtions to Matias, hoping he would understand. "Matias, I have to tell you something important. You see, I am not who you think I am. I'm not Princess Flora. I am her handmaiden, Sonia. We decided to trade roles for today. She wanted to be free and I wanted to live the life of a princess and I admit I got a little carried away. I'm sorry that I lied to you, but I know we have just met, but I love you. You understand who I am and you are not like most guys. But I understand if you never want to speak to me again." Once sonia was finished she turned away, knowing she would hear, you filthy peasant or something like that, but she surprised, when Matias scopped her up in his embraced and kissed her passionatly sweeping her off her feet. After the kiss Matias then said, "You idiot, do you think I care about your rank or not? Even if you were a princess or not, I would still love you. You gave me a chance, you actually listen to what I have to say! And that means so much to me. So much in fact that, I want you to marry me. I don't care what my father may think, all I know is that I love you." He then presented a ring to Sonia and she took it without a second thought. She then excused herself to go tell Flora the [[good news]] and she would meet him soon.

Soon after she imprisoned her friend, she met Matias in the courtyard and they pronounced their love for one another. A few weeks later they were married, and the real Flora was excecuted for impersonation. though it was a lie that she was living, she always wanted to be a princess. Bad end 4: A happy ending? try again? [[Start]]

Sonia excited about her new life with Matias, ran up the stairs to meet her friend who was waiting for her in her chambers. Once they met, she told Flora all that happened, and Flora couldn't be happier for her friend. "That's wonderful news Sonia! I'm glad you found someone who could make you happy. Now I have a decision for you to make. Would you like to take my place as princess or to go with your prince and start a new life. I know it's asking too much, but I long to be free and see the world. I know you will make me pround and the kingdom would be in good hands, but I understand if you would rather start a new life with Matis. The choice is yours my friend." [[New life]]

Sonia knew in her heart that she couldn't lie a lie, just to please her friend. She knew how much Flora longed to be free, but at the same time, she could never take her place. "Flora I am flattered, but no one could take your place. Please understand that I can't impersonate you. Whatever you decided to do, I will support it. But I want to start my own royal life with Matias and it would be nice to rule next to you as a sister." Flora smiled, but told her that her mind was made up and she was going to explore either way. So they wished each other luck and they went on to live their seperate lives. One exploring and the other living the royal life she always wanted. [[Good end 3]]

A few years passed and things couldn't be greater for Sonia and her new husband Matias. Soon after they were married they started a kingdom of their own, they went on adventures, read books together, and eventually they even started a family. Their first child was a girl and they named it Flora. She often thinks about her friend wondering if she was okay and if she loved traveling. But she knew in her heart that she was happy and she lived happily ever after. Good end 3: Happy endings [[Start]]
